Blog Carnival Submitter Review

Thank you for being a regular visitor to my blog. I recommend subscribing to my RSS feed so that you never miss an update. :)

Today IM Buzz released a new piece of software called “Blog Carnival Submitter”.

I was fortunate enough to get an advance copy of this software last week so I could test it out before the launch.

First, let me explain what a blog carnival is. Here is the definition directly from BlogCarnival.com:

Unfortunately, the process of submitting your blog posts to carnivals can be very time consuming.  That’s where the “Blog Carnival Submitter” software comes in.  BCS allows you to submit multiple articles to any amount of blog carnivals you choose with just a few clicks of the mouse.

By all means, this sounds like an awesome system for driving traffic to your blog, but I wanted to thoroughly check it out before recommending it here.

EASE OF USE:

Overall, BCS is very easy use from a technical standpoint.  There is nothing that I would consider to be complicated or confusing about it.  However, I feel that they could have made things more automated.  The only real issue I had with the software, was that every time I added an article, I would have to type in my Name, Email, Blog Name, and Blog URL.  This was only a minor inconvenience, but it’s still something that I feel could be improved upon.

COST:

At only $27 , I’d say that you are getting a very good deal on a piece of software like this.  I have seen many other blog traffic generators that sell for WAY more.

RESULTS:

I would definitely have to admit that it works.  I set the software up on March 6, 2009 and tested it using this blog.

Here is what I did over the last 6 days, and how long it took me:

March 6 – I downloaded and familiarized myself with BCS, and started setting it up.
Time spent – About 20 minutes.

March 7 – I added the carnivals that I wanted to submit to, and started submitting articles.
Time spent – About 10 minutes.

March 9 – I submitted all of the remaining posts on my blog to the appropriate carnivals.
Time spent – About 20 minutes.

For the first 6 days of March, I averaged 4.3 Visitors,  30.3 Pageviews, 34.2 Spiders, and 14.7 Feeds each day.

In the 6 days since then, I have averaged 11 Visitors, 52 Pageviews, 145 Spiders, and 19.5 Feeds each day.

Those are pretty impressive results.  I almost tripled my average daily visitors, and as a result, almost doubled my daily average Pageviews.  All of the backlinks that have been created are also helping my blog get spidered more by the search engines, which in turn makes my blog rank higher in search results.

Here’s the kicker – Those results were acheived in 1 hour with only 21 posts.  Imagine how much better it could work if I had more time and articles to work with.
