5 Ways to Keep Visitors Coming Back

Thank you for being a regular visitor to my blog. I recommend subscribing to my RSS feed so that you never miss an update. :)

A lot of successful websites depend on returning visitors to
account for a major part of their traffic. Returning visitors are
easier to convert into paying customers because the more often they
return to a site, the more trust they have in that site. The
credibility issue just melts away. Hence, keep your visitors coming
back to your site with the following methods:

1) Start a forum, chatroom, or shoutbox

When you start a forum, chatroom, or shoutbox, you are providing
your visitors a place to voice their opinions and interact with
their peers — all of them are visitors of your site. As
conversations build up, a sense of community will also follow and
your visitors will come back to your site almost religiously every
day.

2) Start a web log (blog)

Keep an online journal, or more commonly known as a blog, on your
site and keep it updated with latest news about yourself. Human
beings are curious creatures and they will keep their eyes glued to
the monitor if you post fresh news frequently. You will also build
up your credibility as you are proving to them that there is also a
real life person behind the website.

3) Carry out polls or surveys

Polls and surveys are other forms of interaction that you should
definitely consider adding to your site. They provide a quick way
for visitors to voice their opinions and to get involved in your
website. Be sure to publish polls or surveys that are strongly
relevant to the target market of your website to keep them
interested to find out about the results.

4) Hold puzzles, quizzes and games

Just imagine how many office workers procrastinate at work every
day, and you will be able to gauge how many people will keep
visiting your site if you provide a very interesting or addicting
way of entertainment. You can also hold competitions to award the
high score winner to keep people trying continuously to earn the
prize.

5) Update frequently with fresh content

Update your site frequently with fresh content so that every time
your visitors come back, they will have something to read on your
site. This is the most widely known and most effective method of
attracting returning visitors, but this is also the least carried
out one because of the laziness of webmasters. No one will want to
browse a site that looks the same over ten years, so keep your site
updated with fresh bites!

The Best Means For Internet Marketing Is Blogging

Post to your blog at least three times a week to keep human visitors and search engine spiders coming back. Posts have images and even a complimentary podcast. This blog strategy reminds me of what Lee Iococca did for Chrysler in the 80’s where the man behind the brand put himself in front of it.

Search engines cannot read image files. While there is a filename associated with every image on the internet, chances are, these filenames do not contain a sensible title or description of the image. Search engine marketing is one of the best marketing methods to enhance your web presence and your business opportunities thereby. Internet marketing strategies comprise of various services like website optimization, keyword analysis, SEO content writing, link building, ppc and lot more. Search is driven by the feedback loop of data. About half of users are doing long research sessions of 30 minutes or more.

Search engines look for sites that are adding value to the community. If you are presenting information that has been presented 100 times by others, it is going to be tough for you to get ranked. Search engine optimization is an integral part of Internet marketing way of life. And a typical part of this SEO strategy is link exchange – you can put links to your primary resource to increase ranking in search engine to do a better Internet marketing.

Article marketing helps you establish your authority by showing potential customers that you know what you are talking about. People want to do business with a recognized authority. Article writing, blog production and content creation for e-portals and podcasts are just some of the examples whereby all you need is a creative mind and a deft hand that can write? Affiliate marketers pay top dollar for good content?

Researching Internet marketing online is one method which can be used for learning more about this topic. This type of research can be very informative and can provide the business owner with a great deal of advice and other information. Research has proven that the most effective affiliate links are text links. They far exceed banners and flash animations when it comes to click through rates. Research has shown that the longer you keep people in shopping malls, the more likely they are to buy something. Shopping mall designers know things like you will almost always turn right when you enter a mall.

Links bring top rankings and traffic! You need fresh links! Link exchange – Getting links from other known sites would give the best traffic that you will ever need. But can you sacrifice your time in looking for webmasters who can accept your site? Link building services and website promotion are essential to grow your business on the web. Blog Marketing and Promotion have proven to be a highly successful method of driving targeted traffic and relevant search engine indexed text links straight to your web site!

Creating a blog, maintaining it or posting an article to a prevailing blog is known as blogging. Individual articles on a blog are known as blog posts, posts or entries. Creating PDF’s is a lot more straightforward than it used to be. I prefer to use eWriterPro because you can write and edit the book, insert all your hyperlinks and convert the finished product to PDF all with one program. Create an image that appeals to your target market and promotes credibility for your business. Choose fonts and colors for your website that are clean and friendly to the viewer.

Web analytical tools are a must to improve conversion rates for your website. Website visitors are potentially the life blood of your internet based business.

Blog Carnival Submitter Review

Today IM Buzz released a new piece of software called “Blog Carnival Submitter”.

I was fortunate enough to get an advance copy of this software last week so I could test it out before the launch.

First, let me explain what a blog carnival is. Here is the definition directly from BlogCarnival.com:

Unfortunately, the process of submitting your blog posts to carnivals can be very time consuming.  That’s where the “Blog Carnival Submitter” software comes in.  BCS allows you to submit multiple articles to any amount of blog carnivals you choose with just a few clicks of the mouse.

By all means, this sounds like an awesome system for driving traffic to your blog, but I wanted to thoroughly check it out before recommending it here.

EASE OF USE:

Overall, BCS is very easy use from a technical standpoint.  There is nothing that I would consider to be complicated or confusing about it.  However, I feel that they could have made things more automated.  The only real issue I had with the software, was that every time I added an article, I would have to type in my Name, Email, Blog Name, and Blog URL.  This was only a minor inconvenience, but it’s still something that I feel could be improved upon.

COST:

At only $27 , I’d say that you are getting a very good deal on a piece of software like this.  I have seen many other blog traffic generators that sell for WAY more.

RESULTS:

I would definitely have to admit that it works.  I set the software up on March 6, 2009 and tested it using this blog.

Here is what I did over the last 6 days, and how long it took me:

March 6 – I downloaded and familiarized myself with BCS, and started setting it up.
Time spent – About 20 minutes.

March 7 – I added the carnivals that I wanted to submit to, and started submitting articles.
Time spent – About 10 minutes.

March 9 – I submitted all of the remaining posts on my blog to the appropriate carnivals.
Time spent – About 20 minutes.

For the first 6 days of March, I averaged 4.3 Visitors,  30.3 Pageviews, 34.2 Spiders, and 14.7 Feeds each day.

In the 6 days since then, I have averaged 11 Visitors, 52 Pageviews, 145 Spiders, and 19.5 Feeds each day.

Those are pretty impressive results.  I almost tripled my average daily visitors, and as a result, almost doubled my daily average Pageviews.  All of the backlinks that have been created are also helping my blog get spidered more by the search engines, which in turn makes my blog rank higher in search results.

Here’s the kicker – Those results were acheived in 1 hour with only 21 posts.  Imagine how much better it could work if I had more time and articles to work with.
