All About Human Nature (and ClickBank)

Thank you for being a regular visitor to my blog. I recommend subscribing to my RSS feed so that you never miss an update. :)

Last week I wrote to my list about how profitable clickbank can be. I also admitted that it takes work, and can seem difficult at first.

As I feared, only a tiny fraction of the people that read that email
went out and took action. Maybe everyone else is already operating
a successful home business. I sincerely doubt that though. More
likely, they are like the estimated 95% of people who fail at making
money online.

I know from experience that the number one reason people fail to
make money online is that they don’t want to put in the work that’s
necessary. Everyone is looking for a get rich quick scheme.

Get rich quick schemes (scams) do exist, but only a very few people
ever get rich quick from them. That’s because of the way they’re
usually structured. The people at the top will all get fat-paid,
but by the time the rest of us get in, we’ll be lucky if we can
break even.

I’ve seen it over and over again more times than I can count. Yet
every day a new one pops up, and every time more people get sucked
down the rabbit hole.

I guess it’s just human nature to want something for nothing. I
know I’m guilty of it too. It just doesn’t work that way though.
True success always requires at least one if not all three of the
following attributes:

  • TIME – You can’t honestly expect to make it very far if you’re
not willing to put in the hours. I know it sucks, but even if it
takes you 10 hours a day to make a living online, doesn’t that beat
working 8 hours a day outside of your home, for someone else? At
first, you will only notice the day to day, week to week earnings.
As time passes though, you will realize that you are building
something for yourself, and as time passes you will be able to earn
    more money with less effort.
  •  MONEY – The phrase “You gotta spend money to make money” is
debated by some. I’ll let you come to your own conclusion on this
one. However, while you may be able to get your business off the
ground for no money out of pocket, remember that your time has a
value too. It’s up to you decide whether your time is worth more
than the ammount of money you’re saving by trying to go it the
    no-cost route.
  • LUCK – When all else fails, all that’s left is luck. However,
since luck is something that is totally outside of our control, I
see no need to focus on it.
  • If you’re ready to take the reins, and start trying to create
residual wealth, instead of hoping to get lucky and rich, then
I recommend that you download a copy of this free ebook:

Error pages – Do they make you money?

Have you ever visited a website, but typed in the wrong url after the domain name? What did you see?

Chances are you saw a generic page that said something like, “The page cannot be displayed”,  “Not Found”, or “The requested URL was not found on this server”.

This is what is more commonly known as the 404 ErrorPage. It’s the page that shows up by default when someone ‘accidentally’ types in the address of the page they are looking for on your site incorrectly.  Now, in many cases, it truly happens by mistake. However, in other instances, people end up on this page because they are snooping around trying to look for your download page or thank you page without having to pay or opt-in.  Kind of shady, but people do it.

Why, not capitalize on it whether they are doing it purposely or they are truly ending up there by accident?
If you have your own website and it gets traffic, some of your visitors are ending up on that page.  If they’re seeing the generic message that their browser shows them when it happens, then you are not making good use of your web real estate.

Every page of your website can put money in your pocket.  Even your 404 error page. You can customize that page
just like any other page on your website.

Some ideas to utilize on that page include:
-Making an special offer at a discounted price.
-Having it be a squeeze page.
    -Making it an Adsense page.
-Redirecting it to a related affiliate product.

Those are just a few of the many different, yet profitable types of ways you can make good use of your 404errorpage.  It won’t make you rich, but it could definitely put some extra money in your account.  Maybe it will help you pay one of your bills, or you can just reinvest it into your business.  Either way, if you don’t customize this page, you could be leaving money on the table.  Having something for your visitors to see when they end up on that page is much more beneficial to you than not having anything on that page.

Here’s to making good use of every page on your website.
